the Vivien bra was named after Vivien Leigh, as it is designed along an Old Hollywood style, yet the lowered neckline is reminiscent of Scarlett O’Hara.
Both variations are partial band bras, with a lower, balconette style neckline and a side power bar.
This listing is for Variation One: a classic partial band bra with a back opening; Variation Two has a front opening, and a lower, plunge style neckline. Variation Two will have a separate listing on this website, when it is available soon. Both listings include the same pattern booklet, as many elements of the construction process translate from one across to the other. For this listing you will receive the pattern booklet and band pieces for Variation One only. The Band pattern pieces in this listing are in A4 and US letter form.

For detailed information on how to assess your size, please see the images to the left. Measuring this was is the best way to assess your size, however there is also a chart for those who prefer. (**please note: these images are not seen when viewing with an iPhone or tablet, you will need to read these on a a desktop, or laptop).
Within each size is the possibility of 5 separate wire sizes. If you do not know your wire size, a chart is provided with the “standard” wire sizes.
It may not suit those with AA,A, or B cups unmodified, however some have found it can suit after some modifications.

Band pattern pieces are provided in this listing in both A4 and US letter form.
Once downloaded, I suggest viewing and reviewing on your iPad or laptop, rather than printing out all of the pages. This also allows you to zoom in on the detailed photographs included for each step.
Pattern pieces are clustered together in files based on their sister sizes. Further detailed information on how to find your personal pattern pieces are found within the pattern booklet, and within the accompanying “Super Geeky Wire Chart”.
I suggest only printing out those pattern pieces that you need, and remember to print at 100% of scale, on your printer, for those pattern pieces. Some of the bands pieces are printed over two pages: please refer to the pattern booklet page “Pattern pieces and how to find yours” for piecing patterns together.
